Painted Lady Butterfly Migration
Flies Throught La Habra Heights

Butterflies Make Pit Stop in LHH

The annual migration of Painted Lady butterflies passed through La Habra Heights in late March 2009.

The butterflies winter in the Mexican desert, and fly back in the spring.

Biological information on the butterflies tells of them flying non-stop without eating, but the flowering hillsides of La Habra Heights must be irresistible because many stop to feed before continuing on.
